The Ledge to Lancelin Marathon is BACK

PATRIK Lancelin Wind Festival 2023

The PATRIK Lancelin Wind Festival is a partnership between Windsurfing Western Australia and the Lancelin Community Resource & Visitor Centre - both Non-Profit Organisations run by Volunteers.

Within Lancelin's reef-enclosed bay lies a windsurfers paradise offering the perfect conditions for learning and progressing your windsurfing. The outer reef has several breaks for the more adventurous. The Lancelin coastline is blessed with consistent afternoon sea breezes. 

• The Marathon course is a Down Wind Race, approximately 40km long, with 10 gybe marks.
• The Wave sailing comp returns to its traditional South Passage home in front of the Endeavour Tavern.
• Slalom racing will be held in Ledge Point or Lancelin, depending on conditions.

The Event Hub will be the Lancelin Community Resource & Visitor Centre - Lancelin Shopping Centre, Gingin Road.

Event Schedule

• Lifejacket in good condition, bearing the label Level 50S (or higher) with the Australian Standard AS 1512, AS 4758, AS 1499, AS 2260, ISO 12402.
• 1 x Orange and 1 x Red Flare Personal EPIRBs acceptable
• Note: No Safety Equipment = No Race or Disqualification
• Type 1 and inflatable PFDs are NOT acceptable
• Wave competitors are exempt from wearing a lifejacket and carrying flares
