Windsurfers of all kinds (Fin, Foil ,Wing)

Come prepared for wild ocean fun. People have been sailing here for decades. Come and see why.

The breeze builds nicely and can trick you into large gear, then the SW picks up, and the chop comes from all directions. Pinnaroo is one of the most challenging locations for slalom racing in Perth.

The course will be 10-12 kms downwinder from Pinnaroo Point to Mullaloo with a number of gybe marks.
All race together. Fin and Foil Windsurfers will not be distinguished by the type of fin, only by age and gender.
There will be a single Wing category (male, female, juniors, all mixed) .
1-2 races depending on the conditions and time and sailor's ability to sail up wind to the start point.

This event is about bringing windsurfers together in a social gathering and promoting the location. Following the racing, there will be a BBQ provided on the grassed area where we can dish out bragging rights, immortalise the winner and discuss interest in future events here or elsewhere.

For a great day, you will need:

Windsurfing equipment and spares - Watch the forecast! You might need to bring small gear it can get windy and choppy
Life Jacket PFD TYPE 2
2 x FLARES

Member of Windsurfing WA Membership or any AWA-affiliated state or club (on the national register).
